Ford is recalling 272,827 and Mavericks due to a power issue linked to a 12-volt battery from Camel Battery of China, which may cause vehicles to stop unexpectedly or fail to start.

The affected vehicles were manufactured between February 2021 and October 2023. Ford has not reported any accidents, fires, or injuries related to this issue.

Remedial Actions and Previous Recalls

Ford plans to improve its recall decision-making process and will be monitored by an independent third party for three years following a government fine for slow response to an earlier recall.
