New Parental Controls Rolled Out
Roblox introduces remote-accessible parental controls, allowing parents to manage their child's account, view friend lists, and set spending and screen time limits.
The platform now categorizes content into four labels—minimal, mild, moderate, and restricted—defaulting younger users to less mature content unless parents give consent.
Communication and Content Restrictions
To combat child exploitation and grooming, under-13s are barred from direct messaging, with exceptions only if a parent or guardian grants permission.
These updates come amid criticisms and legal challenges over Roblox's child safety protocols, aiming to provide a safer gaming environment for its young users.
