Romania's Constitutional Court annulled the first round of the presidential election, a move unprecedented in the country's history, citing the need for a rerun due to alleged Russian meddling.

The new coalition has not yet decided if Georgescu, under investigation for his campaign, will be eligible to run in the re-scheduled presidential election, which is expected to take place in early 2025.
