Launch and Vision

Mikael Genberg's 25-year dream of placing a miniature red Swedish house on the moon was realized with its launch aboard a rocket, aiming for the moon's surface via ispace's lunar lander, RESILIENCE.

Genberg, fueled by a poetic vision of art expanding human life into space, saw the Moonhouse, made of aluminum and space-certified paint, as a unique contribution to the lunar landscape.

Journey and Collaboration

The Moonhouse, size of a big hand, underwent extensive technical design and testing by a team of about 100, ensuring its survival and integrity on the moon's surface.

Funded by approximately 70 supporters, the project symbolizes a collective effort to blend art with space exploration, with ispace Europe's CEO emphasizing the expansion of human life into space.
