Recall Details

Tesla is recalling almost 700,000 vehicles, including certain 2024 , 2017-2025 Model 3, and -2025 Model Y, due to a flaw in the tire pressure monitoring system warning light. The issue may prevent the light from illuminating between drive cycles, failing to alert drivers of low tire pressure, increasing crash risk.

The company will provide a free software update to rectify the problem, with owner notification letters expected to be mailed on February 15, 2025.

Recalls and History

This recall marks the seventh for the Cybertruck this year, following a series of other recalls, including a significant one in July affecting over 1.8 million vehicles due to a hood issue and another in February for nearly 2.2 million vehicles over small warning lights on the instrument panel.

The Cybertruck, delayed by two years, saw its first deliveries in November 2023, highlighting ongoing challenges Tesla faces with vehicle rollouts and safety compliance.
