Moongazers in , , and witnessed a total lunar eclipse, a celestial event where the Earth, moon, and sun align, causing the Earth to cast a shadow on the moon.
These lunar eclipses occur between four to seven times a year, with the last total lunar eclipse recorded in 2022. A partial lunar eclipse was observed across the , , and in September.

The next total lunar eclipse is scheduled for the evening of September 7 and early morning on September 8, visible from , Europe, Africa, and .
Parts of the Americas will have another opportunity to observe a total lunar eclipse in March 2026.
